About Us
GPC Visa – the Government Procurement Card – is a service provided to the UK public sector by Visa Europe and a consortium of its UK member banks.
The five-year GPC Visa contract was awarded to the consortium in 2003 following an open tendering process, and in 2006 it was extended until 2010. The first GPC Visa contract was won competitively by Visa Europe and its member banks in 1997.
GPC Visa has been independently endorsed by the Office of Government Commerce (OGC) and the National Audit Office. The scheme is provided through a framework agreement with OGCbuying.solutions, an executive agency of the OGC.
